FOA Orthopaedics Celebrates Grand Opening in Woodbridge, Virginia

WOODBRIDGE, VA (May 1, 2012) – FOA Orthopaedics, a premier provider of comprehensive orthopedic medical care, announces the opening of its newest location in Woodbridge, VA at 12731 Marblestone Drive, Suite 102 in the Bayview Medical Building.

Beginning May 2, 2012, Drs. Ali Reza Hashemi, M.D., and David Arman Zijerdi, M.D. will be accepting new patients from the greater Woodbridge area. 

“We are looking forward to serving the community of Woodbridge,” said Dr. David P. Sokolow, senior physician and president of FOA.  “With so many Woodbridge patients having to commute to receive care it just makes sense for us to open a location here. Now, it will be much easier for this thriving community to access quality orthopedic care in its own backyard.”

Originally from McLean, VA, Dr. Hashemi, M.D. is fellowship-trained in hand and shoulder surgery.  Dr. Hashemi sees individuals of all ages, including newborns, for treatment of orthopedic conditions of the hand, elbow, wrist, and shoulder.  Dr. Hashemi’s presence will help with the increasing demand for a specialized hand surgeon in the Woodbridge area.

Dr. Zijerdi, M.D., originally from Great Falls, VA, specializes in sports injuries, arthroscopy, joint replacement, complex fractures, and general orthopedics. He was selected by Northern Virginia Magazine as one of Northern Virginia’s top rated orthopedic and sports medicine surgeons for 2011 and 2012.

Physicians will see patients on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 am – 12 pm, by appointment only.
