Woodbridge and Gar-Field crew teams competed on Saturday at the Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association Championships at Sandy Run Regional Park in Fairfax.

Madison High School's girls' first eight took the title with a time of 4:54.1, edging T.C. Williams and Thomas Jefferson High Schools, who came in second and third, respectively.

St. Alban's boys first eight took the title in their division, followed by Westfield and Yorktown High Schools.

Teams who placed in the top two or three of their final heats on Saturday earned bids to the Scholastic Rowing Association of America National Championship Regatta, held on Memorial Day weekend in Camden, N.J. For full results, click here.
