Like having the house on the block with the best holiday decorations? This year creating a winter wonderland could result in your earning $100,000 for local schools.

Starting Dec. 8, enter Patch's Deck the House Contest for a chance to win $100,000 for your local public school system, $500 toward your electric bill or bragging rights in your neighborhood.

The contest will run until Dec. 26 and users will vote for the best-decked house in their town. From there, Patch judges will select 24 finalists nationwide, who will get their December electric bill paid by Patch (up to $500).

The grand prize winner will receive a $100,000 donation to their local school system.
