County and city detectives working with a special, multi-jurisdictional drug team made two arrests and found drugs in a motel room in Old Town Manassas after executing a search warrant.
Officers with the Prince William-Manassas-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force executed the warrant in Room 40 at Olde Towne Inn on March 28.
Police didn't publicize details of the search at the time because they needed to protect their ongoing investigation into drug deals in the area, according to Prince William County Police.
During the search and investigation, police discovered marijuana, oxycodone, drug paraphernalia and cash.
A 30-year-old man who lived in the room that was searched is charged with possession of a schedule I or II narcotic (cocaine), police said. A 27-year-old man, who didn't report an address, is charged with possession of a schedule I or II narcotic (oxycodone) and distribution of a schedule I or II narcotic (cocaine).
Both men were held without bond at the time of their arrests and are expected in court this summer.
