In Your Own Words: A Week of Comments
What Woodbridge Patch fans had to say this week.
We're all about community involvement at Patch, and we want your voices to be heard.
Our colleague at Annandale Patch, Sherell Williams, did a three-piece series on TJHSST and the rigors of applying to the school. This year, 13 Prince William County students graduated from the specialty school. Some of our readers had personal experiences with the school.
Jan Cunard's daughter was in the school's first graduating class. "I'm sure the commute was a terror, but hopefully it was worth it in the long run," said Cunard on the Facebook page.
Fan Mike Addell commented: "Unless it's changed a whole lot, it's not that bad. 97 grad here. Sure there is a test, and essays, and recommendations, but what do you expect for the best HS is the country. :)"
In response to a question about who was going to see the final Harry Potter movie; we got some interesting responses.
Woodbridge Patch technology columnist Jean Wescott said, "Going to the double feature of part 1 & part 2 on Thursday night. $20 for both including commemorative HP 3D glasses."
Jen Tomb and Stacy Heit Chy will be celebrating the last films in style.
"Yes! Bought tix to see it on IMAX at the Air & Space Museum in Chantilly," commented Tomb.
Chy is headed to the Big Apple for the premiere: "Nope, I'm going to the preimere [sic] Monday in NYC."
When we posted the article letting people know that Friday was Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-Fil-A Robert Morris took the opportunity for a pun: "That's udderly fascinating!"
