The Boys and Girls Club in Manassas hosted their biggest yearly fundraiser, the 23^rd Annual Steak ‘n’ Stake Dinner, raising $40,000 with a dinner and silent auction.

One of the top sponsors of the event was the Welburn Organization. The Welburns are a family of franchisees who own and operate McDonald’s restaurants in Manassas and all around the region.

As a sponsor, the Welburns not only supported the Boys and Girls Club financially, but also worked toward inspiring volunteerism in the area. A few of the initiatives the family spurred include Breakfast with Santa and National Jack and Jill Let’s Move Healthy Family Day, both held at the Hylton Boys and Girls Club of Dale City.

The Welburns also lead renovations of the education wing to reflect the needs of today’s youth in order to enhance graduation rates.
