Several area high schools have canceled outdoor games for this evening due to the impending threat of thunderstorms.

Here's the list of the cancelations we have so far: 

Woodbridge Senior High School:

• Girls varsity softball at Potomac High (rescheduled for Wednesday, May 16)
• Girls JV softball vs. Forest Park (rescheduled for Wednesday, May 16)
• Boys JV baseball vs. Potomac High (rescheduled for Wednesday, May 16)
• Boys varsity baseball at Potomac High (rescheduled for Wednesday, May 16, 6 p.m.)

Gar-Field Senior High School: 

• Boys JV baseball vs. Hylton (rescheduled for Wednesday, May 16)

Hylton High School: no cancellations announced

Freedom High School: 

• Boys varsity baseball at Forest Park
• Girls varsity softball at Forest Park (rescheduled for Wednesday, May 16)

The National Weather Service forecast calls for showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Tuesday, with total rainfalls of less than a tenth of an inch. There could be a chance of higher rain accumulation in areas affected by thunderstorms.
