Some of you may remember when I wrote about setting fitness goals and how I set one for myself by signing up for an eight-mile Spartan Race coming up in August.
Obviously, the next step in meeting a large goal is setting smaller goals that will push you in the right direction. And that is where YBY 360 came into the picture.
An all-in-one nutrition and fitness package, YBY 360 offers four weeks of bootcamps, three to five mornings of the week (depending on the package you sign up for), and a personalized nutrition plan to last you that four weeks.
After four weeks of work and controlled nutrition, you get a week to break, reevaluate and then, if you are as hooked as most people seem to be, jump right in again.
The bootcamps are held three different times of day, so you choose your slot for the month and build a real sense of teamwork by seeing the same people every class—pushing each other onward and getting that communal high when you just have one more round of planks and pushups left.
I’m now in week three of my first “round” and am amazed at how quickly my body is adapting to the rigorous routine at the same time as every single morning the class kicks my butt. As soon as I think I’ve got a handle on it, the coaches push us to the next level so there is no possible way to plateau—at the same time as they make each exercise personal and encourage you to push to your best level, not someone else’s.
It’s not just the coaches motivating you each step of the way, however. I’ve been amazed how every participant in the class is ready to cheer you on and motivate you. There are people in this class in way better shape than I am, and others who are just starting out and have a ways to go—and every single one of them inspires me! I’ve yet to see a single person not give 110% in the class and come out with a smile on their face.
Even outside class, the 360 participants are in constant communication with each other via Facebook, giving tips and encouragement, asking questions, helping each other find the best protein deals, etc. It’s a fitness family like I’ve never seen before.
