Cantaloupes in Prince William Schools Untainted

Colorado cantaloupes linked to listeria cases not served in area schools.

The Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) Office of School Food and Nutrition Services has confirmed with their produce distributors that none of the cantaloupes received in PWCS schools has come from the Rocky Ford Growing Area in Colorado, identified in the recent recall and Listeria outbreak. The cantaloupes served in PWCS schools this fall have come from Virginia, Arizona and California.
