Things to do with your friends in Woodbridge.

Spring Break for Prince William County Schools begins on April 18, so find some fun things for the family to do together while the kids are home from school. This might be a good week to try something new, explore a new part of Woodbridge, or even do some Spring cleaning around the house!

Head over to and pick up April’s monthly mind bender contest form and complete it with the whole family.  This month’s topic is “Spring Crossword.” You could win a prize if you submit your answers! Forms must be completed and turned in by April 30 by 5 p.m. for the drawing.  

  • Attend the Suessical musical aton April 14, 15, and 16 at 7:30 p.m. There will also be a 2 p.m. show on April 16. There is a $5 fee for students and $10 fee for adults.
  • Have fun at the Fish Out at the pool at Tall Oaks Community Center in Woodbridge from April 15 through 23 from 12-7 p.m. There is a $7 fee for this event with a 2 fish limit.
  • Have fun at the Prince William County Kids Expo at the Prince William County Fairgounds in Manassas on April 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Help clean up the Leesylvania State Park at the Earth Day River Clean Up on April 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Attend the Food University cooking demonstration at IKEA on April 16 from 2-4 p.m.
  • Check out Magician Joe Romano’s Green Magic show at Potomac Community Library on April 16 at 2 p.m.
  • Attend a free concert sponsored by the Woodbridge Music Club at St. Paul United Methodist Church on April 16 from 7-8 p.m.
  • Attend the Kids Fishing Tournament at Lake Ridge Park on April 17 from 9-11 a.m.
  • Come out to Potomac Community Library and watch The Diary of a Wimpy Kid on April 18 at 2 p.m.
  • Support the local middle and high school celebrities by attending a music or sporting event:
    • Gar-Field Senior High School varsity girls tennis at Freedom High School on April 13 at 3:30 p.m.
    • Woodbridge Senior High School varsity girls tennis at Stonewall Jackson High School on April 13 at 3:30 p.m.
    • Woodbridge Senior High School varsity boys tennis vs. Stonewall Jackson High School (at Woodbridge) on April 13 at 3:30 p.m.
    • Woodbridge Middle School boys track at Godwin Middle School on april 13 at 4:45 p.m.
    • Gar-Field Senior High School varsity boys and girls track and field vs. Hylton, Freedom, and Potomac (at Gar-Field) on April 13 at 5 p.m.
    • Woodbridge Senior High School coffee house on April 13 from 6-9 p.m.
