Things to do with the family this week.

It looks like it is going to be sunny and nice out this weekend, so get outside, go to a park like Lake Ridge Park or Veterans Memorial Park and have a picnic and throw a Frisbee around with your family. Just get out and enjoy this great weather!

  • Check out the class at Chinn Aquatics and Fitness Center of March 11 at 6:30 p.m. There is a $15 fee for this class for families with children 3-years-old and up.
  • Take a free tour of the with the Prince William Conservation Alliance on March 12 from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. 
  • Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by attending the Greater Manassas St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Old Town Manassas on March 12 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 pm.
  • Attend the free, hands-on weather demonstration by the at Chinn Park Regional Library on March 12 at 10:30 a.m. or at Potomac Community Library on March 12 at 2 p.m.
  • Head over to and pick up March’s monthly mind bender contest form and complete it with the whole family.  This month’s topic is “Dr. Seuss Puzzler.” You could win a prize if you submit your answers! Forms must be completed and turned in by March 31 by 9 p.m. for the drawing.
  • Make some fun, geeky jewelry with computer pieces at on March 12 at 2 p.m.
  • Explore and learn about Lake Ridge Park during the Nature in Our Parks program on March 12 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is a $45 fee for this program.
  • Check out a dance performance by the Jane Franklin Dance Studio at Chinn Park Regional Library on March 13 at 2 p.m.
  • Attend Bingo night at the on Wednesday, March 9 or Saturday, March 12 at 5:15 p.m.
  • Support the local middle and high school celebrities by attending a music or sporting event:
