Heat Advisory, Poor Air Quality for Woodbridge Thursday

Prince William County is under a heat advisory and other warnings issued by the National Weather Service

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for most of the Northern Virginia region Thursday from noon to 8 p.m., as temperatures are predicted to hover around 98 degrees.

Coupled with a heat index that will make temperatures feel like 102 degrees, the air quality has been labeled as code orange. A code orange air quality alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may be unhealthy for certain groups.

This is the third day in one week that there have been heat advisories.
