Power Outage in Prince William County; 10,000 Still Without Power

Dominion Power and NOVEC reported 30,000 without power Monday morning..

After snow and ice fell Sunday, more than 30,000 customers were without power in Prince William County on Monday morning. The power has been restored to many of those homes and businesses.

At 9 a.m., NOVEC's stormcenter map noted 22,332 were without power. Dominion Power also reported 9,709 without power in Prince William County. Many of the customers impacted were in the Dale City and Dumfries Road area.

By 9:25 a.m., substations began to come back online, according to @NOVEC, and the number of customers impacted was cut to roughly 13,000. As of 5:40 p.m., 10,000 customers were still without power.
