Weather Alert With Heavy Rain On the Way

With a 100 percent chance of rain in the forecast, the National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for northern Virginia, including Woodbridge.

The flood watch is in effect until Monday afternoon. According to the NWS: 

• Periods of moderate to heavy rainfall are expected — with up to 3 inches of rainfall and locally higher amounts.
• "Streams and creeks may overflow their banks. Urban areas prone to poor drainage will be susceptible to minor flooding."
