Weekend Traffic: Lane Closures Will Be Limited on Interstate 95
Traffic may still crawl, but a few extra lanes can't hurt as summer travel picks up this weekend.
Recognizing that summer traffic will be putting more wheels on the road, construction on Interstate 95 and Interstate 395 will be limited to overnight hours this weekend.
Closures on the regular lanes will be cleared on Saturday and Sunday mornings by 7:00 a.m., and the HOV Lanes will be opened by 10:00 a.m., according to a release from the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Lane closures will also be scaled back later in the week as motorists get on the road for the July Fourth holiday weekend.
