Piano Concert by Dr. Elaine Brady

Elaine’s program features compositions by Claude Debussy, Johannes Brahms, Bela Bartok, and Frederic Chopin. Free will donations accepted.

Elaine Brady began her study of the piano at the age of 5 with her mother and later worked with James Tavolario from Youngstown, Ohio. After graduating from high school, she entered Youngstown State University and studied with Robert Hopkins, earning both Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in Piano Performance. Elaine continued her studies at Michigan State University, where she studied with artist-in-residence, Ralph Votapek and earned a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Piano Performance. Elaine won numerous piano competitions during her student years and has appeared in concert as a soloist, chamber musician, and with orchestra during her career. She is a frequent adjudicator in local and state piano competitions and has held positions on the faculties of Michigan State University, Alma College, Youngstown State University, and the Prince William County Schools. She maintains a private piano studio in the Prince William County area, and is President of the Woodbridge Music Club and District II Director of the Virginia Federation of Music Clubs.
