Summer Concert Events on the Plaza

The Sean T. Connaughton Plaza hosts a summer concert series free to the public.

Summer may be coming to a close, but the fun isn't over yet. For free events for the whole family, the Sean T. Connaughton Community Plaza is the place to be. Throughout the summer, the plaza -- which is located between the McCoart Administration and the Development Services buildings -- hosts outdoor events, concerts and performances.

Earlier this summer, military performing groups, annual visitors to the plaza, made tour stops at the plaza to share their musical talents with residents of Prince William County.

Patriotic tunes were performed by the U.S. Navy Sea Chanters as well as the U.S. Air Force Concert Band & Singing Sergeants.

The Prince William County Police also hosted a public safety event for kids and families in honor of National Night Out. Attendees had the opportunity to pet police horses, meet McGruff the crime dog and delight in ice slushies.

Concerts at the plaza will continue until the end of September; but the plaza is available for rent through Oct. 31.
