The Conjuring premieres this weekend, finally giving horror fans the big scare they've been waiting for all summer.

Variety writes that the movie has been scoring "off-the-charts test screening results and strong reviews" ahead of this weekend's release, with New Line already consider green-lighting a sequel -- and a possible franchise.
But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Rotten Tomatoes rates The Conjuring with 85 percent on the tomato meter.
"It scared the living crap out of me. Only at the movies is that a compliment," wrote Rolling Stones' Peter Travers. "So kudos to The Conjuring for putting fresh fire into the overworked haunted-house genre."
