Apple Store Opens in Woodbridge

The new Apple Store at Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center welcomed its first customers today. Many were there for the iPhone 5S.

After weeks of construction and months of anticipation, a new Apple Store opened this morning at Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center in Woodbridge.

Hundreds lined up outside the doors as they waited for the 10 a.m. opening. The first six in line had all been camped out since between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. yesterday.

Robert Geisler was the first in line. He was there for the iPhone 5S.

Neel Chokshi drove down from New Jersey for the opening. He'd tried to get an iPhone 5S at a New York City Apple Store, and though he'd been fourth in line and waited six days, they only gave iPhones to the first two in line. But as one of the first six in line today, he thought he'd have better luck.

Apple announced the opening of its store Tuesday morning. Before the store was officially confirmed as an Apple Store last month, it sparked rumor and discussion, with job listings suggesting that Apple was coming to the area.

What do you think of the new Apple Store? Were you at the grand opening?
