If you’re looking for a quiet place to escape the morning traffic madness and get your daily dose of caffeine, then café is the place to go.
The café is owned and operated by for almost five years and is located on Dale Boulevard in the Freedom Center, near the intersection of Minnieville Road and Dale Boulevard.
They serve teas, coffee, smoothies and espresso drinks that are all reasonably priced. The cafe also has a breakfast and lunch menu and serves pastries too.
On my last visit, I tried their almond white mocha latte and a cinnamon almond Danish; both did not disappoint my wallet or my taste buds.
Inside of the café is a nice sitting area for customers to relax, read the paper, watch the news, or surf the internet on free WiFi.
The café has unusual hours; it’s open Tuesday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Thursday and Friday evenings from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
On Thursday and Friday evenings, they have live performances by local bands and musicians. The church encourages local residents to come out and perform on these nights. Performers can sing, recite poetry or play an instrument.
Common Grounds café is overall, a charming coffee shop that provides a relaxing atmosphere for coffee lovers.
