Books-A-Million's New Store Open at Potomac Mills
New location provides expanded selection for big-box bookseller.
Books-A-Million has opened the doors on its large new home at Potomac Mills Mall. The size is more than double that of the temporary location that was used during construction.
It provides a large new tenant for a corner of the mall that is losing Saks Off 5th when it soon relocates to a new spot beside the Costco. But BAM won't be alone for long: Buy Buy Baby will be moving in around the corner in the coming months.
Books-A-Million had been in talks in 2011 to purchase several closing locations of Borders booksellers, including the Woodbridge store. That deal fell through and used bookstore 2nd and Charles now leases that space.
