Floor and Decor Grand Opening Celebration Saturday, July 12

Potomac Mills area's latest retailer plans big launch this weekend.

A new major outlet for home flooring needs in Northern Virginia is holding a day-long grand opening celebration this weekend.

Floor and Decor opened it's 80,000 square foot showroom last week at 14041 Worth Avenue, across from Potomac Mills Mall. 

The grand opening event Saturday, July 12, will include face painting, a Nascar race car simulator, free treats for customers and, of course, prizes and deals on merchandise.

  • 11am – 6pm: NASCAR Simulator 
  • 11am-2pm: Face painting and Cruise-In with Prince William Cruisers
  • 11:30am: Wounded Warriors Donation Check Presentation
  • 1:30pm- 4:30pm: Treats for customers from Kona Ice
  • Noon - 2pm: Roll the Dice for a chance to win $500,000

Starting at noon Saturday, the first 200 people to register will have a chance to play a dice game that could result in one lucky player leaving with $500,000. Additional prizes will also be given out throughout the day.  

The new store is filling part of the building formerly used by Incredible Universe and General Dynamics. The large stand-alone building was shuttered in 2012.

Floor and Decor won't be alone in the building for long. In May, outdoor specialty store Gander Mountain announced it was opening in another part of the same building later this year.
