PriceRite Celebrates Woodbridge Opening on Sunday

New store fills former Safeway at Market at Opitz Crossing.

PriceRite will celebrate the opening of it's first Virginina store store at 8 a.m. Sunday, June 1 at 2042 Daniel Stuart Square.

The store is replacing the Safeway at the Market at Opitz Crossing, which closed earlier this year. The new PriceRite will bring 125 full and part time jobs, according to a release.

To celebrate its opening, PriceRite of Woodbridge will present a special donation to the Capital Area Food Bank.

According to the release, PriceRite employs a self service format that includes fresh produce delivered daily; packaged meats; baked goods; a variety of private label and national grocery brands; as well as dairy and frozen food products.

“Expanding our services into Virginia with a new store in Woodbridge is a natural next step in our commitment to providing our customers with a great shopping experience,” said Neil Duffy, president of PriceRite.
