You may want to know how area restaurants performed in their last Virginia Department of Health inspection.
Restaurants in the Commonwealth are inspected between one and four times a year. There are two types of violations: Critical and non-critical. What's the difference? Critical violations, unless corrected, can contribute to "food contamination, illness or environmental degradation," according to the state health department.
"In our experience, it is unrealistic to expect that a complex, full-service food operation can routinely avoid any violations," according to Virginia Department of Health's website.
The site continues: "Keep in mind that any inspection report is a 'snapshot' of the day and time of the inspection. On any given day, a restaurant could have fewer or more violations than noted in the report. An inspection conducted on any given day may not be representative of the overall, long-term cleanliness of an establishment."Name Facility Location Last Inspection No. Critical of Violations Bull Run Unitarian Universalists 9350 Main St 5-Feb-2013 0 Children of America 13871 Hedgewood Dr 5-Feb-2013 0 El Pulgarcito Grill 1306 Horner Rd 5-Feb-2013 2 Gravely Elementary School 4670 Waverly Farm Dr 5-Feb-2013 1 Lake Ridge Elementary School 11970 Hedges Run Dr 5-Feb-2013 0 Lake Ridge Middle School 12350 Mohican Rd 5-Feb-2013 0 Old Towne Sports Pub 8971 Center St 5-Feb-2013 0 Happy Eatery 17483 Jefferson Davis Hwy 4-Feb-2013 0 Ashland Elementary School 15300 Bowmans Folly Dr 4-Feb-2013 0 Boston Market # 646 13815 Smoketown Rd 4-Feb-2013 1 China Star 9917 Wellington Rd 4-Feb-2013 3 Global Cafe Shop 13813 Foulger Sq 4-Feb-2013 0 Lake Ridge Baptist Church 12450 Clipper Dr 4-Feb-2013 0 Minnieville Elementary School 13639 Greenwood Dr 4-Feb-2013 0 Potbelly Sandwich Works 10388 Festival Ln 4-Feb-2013 0 Small Wonders at Manassas Junction Educational Center 9840 Grant Ave 4-Feb-2013 0 Sophia's Restaurant 17485 Jefferson Davis Hwy 4-Feb-2013 0 Econo Lodge Hotel/Continental Breakfast 17005 Dumfries Rd 1-Feb-2013 0
