Savers Thrift Store to Open in Woodbridge

Store will add 50 jobs to the community and will open in mid-June.

A new thrift store recently signed a lease in the Potomac Festival shopping center.

Savers will open in Woodbridge, the company's first store in Virginia, in mid-June and will add 50 new jobs. At nearly 30,000 square feet, the new store will be located at 14427 Potomac Mills Rd., providing local shoppers with great bargains on quality secondhand merchandise.

“We’re thrilled to open our first Savers branded location in Virginia,” said Mike Tudino, regional director for the new store in a press release. “This new store will not only bring new jobs to the community, it will also provide much needed funding to a great nonprofit organization.”

Each Savers location partners with a charitable organization in its community, and this store partners with Vietnam Veterans of America. Savers pays the organization for every item donated at the Community Donation Center atSavers, as well for all items donated directly to Vietnam Veterans of America through their home pick-up service.

Open positions will be available for individuals with customer service and sales experience, and also to applicants seeking entry-level retail positions. Employment opportunities include back room store production positions and sales floor roles, in both part- and full-time.
