Some Local Residents Fed Up With Waiting For Toby Keith's

The much-anticipated restaurant at Potomac Town Center is reportedly opening "soon," but representatives did not give an official date.

After months of waiting for Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill to open at Potomac Town Center in Woodbridge, some local residents are starting to get annoyed. Toby Keith's recently announced that they would be opening "soon" but declined to announce an opening date.

"I think it's crap," Jessica Moore said. "How many opening dates have we been hearing about?"

An official opening date has never been announced, but the restaurant originally promised to open by the end of March. In April, restaurant representatives announced that they would be opening "soon."  By the middle of the summer, the site seemed almost dead. Then, by the end of July, work was visible on the inside of the restaurant, which was still nowhere near completion. The restaurant installed lights, then booths, and the guitar bar was painted. The restaurant has held several job fairs and is looking to draw local bands. Despite all this, the restaurant still has no official opening date, representatives choosing instead to rely on their April line of promising to opening "soon."

"In the scheme of things going on in the world, who cares," Kimberly Benson said. "We have tons of restaurants already in this area. I feel sorry for the people they have hired thinking they had jobs and still haven't started to work."

What do you think of the delays?
