Woodbridge Blockbuster to Close By January

Most of Blockbuster's remaining stores are closing.

The one remaining Blockbuster in Woodbridge will close its doors permanently by January of 2014, along with most of the remaining Blockbuster stores in the country, according to Mashable.com.

"The brand will instead move to a streaming-only model," the article reported.

The other Woodbridge Blockbuster closed earlier this year, in a wave of 300 store closings. At the time, about 3000 employees lost their jobs. Blockbuster filed for bankruptcy in 2010 after heavy competition from Netflix and other such services.
