PRICERITE COMES TO VIRGINIA — Woodbridge store to open June 1, 2014

Release:
PriceRite announced today that it will celebrate the opening of its newest location on Sunday, June 1st at 8:00 AM in Woodbridge, Virginia. Located at the Market at Opitz Crossing 2042 Daniel Stuart Square, this marks the very first PriceRite location in Virginia. This new store will bring 125 full and part time jobs to the community.

To celebrate its opening, PriceRite of Woodbridge will present a special donation to the Capital Area Food Bank.

PriceRite’s mission is to provide customers with a “clean, fresh, and friendly” shopping experience every day. Also known for its unmatched value, PriceRite offers customers the same quality foods as traditional supermarkets at about half the price and with the convenience of warehouse club-style shopping without the membership fees or bulk-buying requirements.

The 52,000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art PriceRite of Woodbridge will feature some of the industry’s leading “green technologies,” including glass doors on dairy cases, and energy-efficient lighting and refrigeration throughout the store.

PriceRite employs a self service format that includes fresh produce delivered daily; packaged meats; baked goods; a variety of private label and national grocery brands; as well as dairy and frozen food products.

To further reduce costs and pass along those savings to customers, PriceRite does not advertise or publish a weekly circular. Customers are encouraged to use their own bags or to purchase reusable bags as needed for 10¢ each, which benefits the environment while containing costs. By focusing on keeping operating costs low, PriceRite is proud to pass significant savings along to its customers.

“Expanding our services into Virginia with a new store in Woodbridge is a natural next step in our commitment to providing our customers with a great shopping experience,” said Neil Duffy, president of PriceRite. “At PriceRite, it is our philosophy that our customers shouldn’t have to sacrifice quality to save on price. We look forward to having a positive impact on the community and are grateful to our new neighbors for their support.”
