Network with Us!

The Business Women of Prince William County

has grown by leaps and bounds! We are currently mailing 201 Evites each month and have a huge network on Facebook of 330 “Likes”

Recently we attracted the attention of Congressman Gerry Connolly who asked us to share information about an exciting opportunity to participate in the Civil Rights Archive, a project designed to share memories of a tumultuous period in history. The material compiled will be presented to the Library of Congress, George Mason University and the library systems in Fairfax and Prince William Counties on July 2, 2014.

Our BWPWC is unique among networking groups. We are as intent on making friendships as we are contacts. Our group is non-competitive because we recognize great products often need more than one representative in an area as large as Prince William County. We have several Mary Kay representatives, like Marti Hall and Ann Alexis Hamilton. These women are not competing with each other, but share the love of their business.

We charge no dues or fees, but we do host a 50/50 drawing each month. The winner goes home with half the proceeds and the remainder accumulates until the end of the year when we donate those funs to a local nonprofit. This year’s lucky recipient was ACTS.

Some of our women have more than one enterprise, Like Co-coordinator Teresa Giltner who is both an Avon representative and the owner of MT Enterprises a custom embroidery business and Shaune Langston, an attorney and a certified Life Coach.

We convene on the 3rd Friday of each month at Giorgio’s, order from a set menu, enjoy some delicious food and do what we gathered for: network! Lunch is very reasonably priced.

We’d feature a different speaker each month and also a product display monthly. We draw from a lottery in November for the coveted spots. Our featured speaker on February 21 is Kathy Strauss of Imagewerks and the host for the product display is Kathie Conn, owner of Skin Sense~Love Your Face, Get a Facial.

We invite you to meet with us, but an RSVP is necessary, as our seating is limited. Giorgio’s can only accommodate 40 of us each month, so if you make a reservation and then can’t attend, please let us know so we can give that seat to another.

We post our events on 12 different news sites and 5 Patch sites, as well as Facebook and numerous social media. Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
