Flags to be Lowered Tuesday in Honor of Fallen Army Ranger

New Jersey native was killed in Afghanistan Aug. 8

Gov. Bob McDonnell (R) has issued a flag order in honor of United States Army Ranger Sergeant Alessandro L. Plutino who was killed in action on Aug. 8. 

United States and Commonwealth of Virginia flags may be flown at half-staff on all local, state, and federal buildings and grounds in the County of Prince William in respect and memory of Sergeant Plutino. The order goes into effect at sunrise on Tuesday, Aug. 23, and flags will remain at half-staff until sunset.

The governor's office said that while Plutino was from New Jersey, he had next of kin in Woodbridge.
