Heat Advisory, Poor Air Quality for Prince William County

The heat wave continues throughout Northern Virginia.

The National Weather Service has issud a heat advisory for most of Northern Virginia from noon until 8 p.m. Tuesday. 

Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 90s but with the heat index, it could feel between 100 and 105 degrees. 

There is also a code orange air quality alert, which means that air pollution concentrations within the region could be unhealthy for sensitive groups.

NWS advises to reduce outdoor work during a heat advisory, and that the combination of hot temperatures and high humidity could make heat illnesses possible.
