VDOT Announces Delays on I-95 for Paving

Paving and milling operations will have the highway slowed.

Motorists can expect delays on I-95 north tonight and next week as the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) closes multiple lanes in the Woodbridge area for paving and milling.:

Beginning Friday, June 3, from 11:30 p.m. until 7 a.m. Saturday morning, two northbound lanes will be closed for milling and paving from Route 123 (Exit 160) to Route 1 (Exit 161).

Milling and paving will continue in this area beginning Sunday, June 5 through Thursday, June 9 from 9:30 p.m. until 5 a.m. each night.

In the case of inclement weather, these lane closures may be rescheduled.

The entire I-95 Widening project will be substantially complete by early July, saving motorists 10-20 minutes while travelling through this corridor. Crews will still be finishing up soundwalls and landscaping work until the fall but will be out of the travel lanes so there will be minor traffic impacts.
