Why Go: "Visit the five galleries in Occoquan. Each gallery will be having a reception; artists will be demonstrating their work; and sign up for special drawings."

Prince William Art Society Holiday Show

When/Where: Nov. 10, 10 a.m. Tall Oaks Community Center, 12298 Cotton Mill Road, Lake Ridge.

Why Go: "Start your holiday shopping early! Members will have their exclusive creations of art for sale. In addition, the art society will have their annual Scholarship note cards for purchase to fund the 2013 Jewell Pratt Burns Scholarships which are presented to two Prince William County graduating seniors who plan to further their education in art. All monies from note card sales and workshops are dedicated to the scholarships."

Pricing: Free. 

Professional Pet Photographer Visits Fetch

When/Where: Nov. 10, 9 a.m. Fetch! Dog & Cat Bakery & Boutique, 305 Mill Street, Occoquan. 

Why Go: "As in past years, Lil Pals Pet Photographers will be coming to our store in Occoquan to capture the memories of yet another holiday season."

Pricing: $10 sitting fee. 

WSHS Theatre Presents 'The Election'

When/Where: Nov. 10, 7:30 p.m. Woodbridge Senior High School, 3001 Old Bridge Road, Lake Ridge. 

Why Go:  It's a satire on the election.
