Pohick Church Good Friday Commemoriation

Pohick Church, the colonial church of George Washington & George Mason, will commemorate Good Friday with a traditional three-hour liturgy. It will include the Stations of the Cross, the Good Friday Liturgy, a dramatic reading of the Passion Narrative from St. John's Gospel, and four Meditations on the events surrounding Christ's arrest, trial and crucifixion.

The Service will be led by the Rev. Donald D. Binder, PhD, the Rev. Ruth E. Correll, Ed.D., and the Rev. Kenneth J. Katona. Devotional hymns will be played by Linda Wilberger Egan, SMM. All are invited to attend any part of the three hours, as personal schedules permit.

Historic Pohick Church is located in the southern part of Fairfax
County, Virginia, at the intersection of US 1 and Telegraph Road.
