Events
Veterans Honored. The Greater Manassas Veterans Day Parade returns this weekend, with a special recognition to the veterans of the Persian Gulf War. Participants include local police departments, the Osbourn High Marching Band, various American Legion posts and other veteran and JROTC organizations. Free. 11 a.m. Saturday. The parade route includes Prescott Avenue beginning at Quarry Road and along Center Street in downtown Manassas.
Tribute to Freedom concert. Nov. 10, 2 p.m. National Museum of the Marine Corps, 18900 Jefferson Davis Highway, Triangle. Free patriotic concert.
What's Open, What's Closed
Prince William County government will be closed on Veterans Day, but public safety and emergency services will continue to operate 24/7 as usual.
Prince William County Courts will also be closed. The county landfill will be open. The libraries will be closed Nov. 9-Nov. 11. Prince William County Schools and offices will be closed Nov. 11
Potomac Mills Mall will be open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Nov. 11.
All U.S. Post Offices will be closed Monday, Nov. 11. Mail will not be delivered on Monday except for priority express packages that have holiday fees applied.
