After Sandy, Non-Profits Will Help Our Community Recover

The November 2 Chips4Charity fundraiser will benefit a dozen non-profits which provide health care, emergency shelter, food, youth programs and other services in the Prince William area.

The day of a devastating storm might seem like an odd day to promote a charity event, but the truth is that funds from Friday night’s Chips4Charities event will benefit those in need after Sandy makes her way through our community over the next couple of days.

Chips4Charity will be held on Friday, November 2, at the beautiful Harbour View, 13200 Marina Way in Woodbridge. The event, which will be held from 6 p.m. to midnight, benefits a dozen local non-profit organizations here in the Prince William area. Our beneficiaries include the Prince William Chapter of the American Red Cross, which will be coordinating post-storm shelter for those in need; the Greater Prince William Community Health Center, which will provide health care care for residents of all ages and incomes; ACTS, which operates a food pantry and an emergency homeless shelter; and Project Mend-A-House, which makes home repairs and modifications for seniors, disabled, and low-income residents of our community. These non-profits serve our friends and neighbors every day, and will continue to do so in the aftermath of this devastating storm.

You can make a difference by attending the Chips4Charity fundraiser on November 2. We will have table games, raffles, prizes, food, music and great company–all to benefit these important local causes. Whether you like blackjack, craps, Texas Hold’em or roulette, Chips4Charity is the place to be this Friday night. Also, if you buy a ticket for our Champagne Diamond Raffle at Chips4Charity, you will get a chance to win a pair of diamond earrings from Quinn’s Goldsmith.
