Accidents Snarl I-95 Traffic in Prince William County

Rain, accidents clog major highway.

Update 4:10 p.m.: The crash on Interstate 95 southbound near Dale City has been cleared from the High Occupancy Vehicle lanes. Lanes are clear and moving on HOV and normal I-95 travel lanes. All is open but moving slowly. 

Update 4:03 p.m.: Traffic headed northbound from Dale City appears to be moving again at speed. Southbound traffic on I-95 is still slow starting just before the Occoquan River bridge in Lorton and remains slow through Dumfries.

Rush hour started early this afternoon, and there are already some major issues on Interstate 95. 

511 Virginia, a service from the Virginia Department of Transportation shows major delay on southbound and northbound lanes on I-95 via the traffic cameras.

According to WTOP, on I-95 south of exits for Route 123 and the Prince William Parkway all southbound express lanes traffic has been sent out of express lanes onto the main highway due to an accident. 

In the same vicinity, the northbound lanes of I-95 also has an accident and exit 152. Traffic is only getting by on the far right. 

Near Quantico Marine Corps Base in the southbound lanes, there is an accident that has lanes closed as well.
