I-95 HOV Lanes Closing Overnight

Lanes will close Friday, April 13 at 11 p.m.

Virginia Department of Transportation is closing High Occupancy Vehicle lanes on Interstate 95 on Friday night, April 13 at 11 p.m. until 10 a.m. Saturday morning April 14, between Exit 169 Franconia Road /Keene Mill Road (Route 644) and Exit 152 Dumfries Road (Route 234).

The HOV lanes will be open to northbound traffic from the Franconia-Springfield Pkwy to the D.C line by 2 a.m. Saturday morning.  By 10 a.m. the entire facility will open remaining in the northbound direction throughout the weekend until Monday, April 16, at 11 a.m.

The closure allows crews to perform survey work, test boring, utility markings, and collect road condition data in preparation for final design of the future 95 Express Lanes Project.  Message boards will be in place informing motorists of the closure.
