88-Year-Old Man Dies After Car Crash

The driver passed by the stop sign and collided with another vehicle, Prince William County Police said.

An 88-year-old Woodbridge man died after he drove past a stop sign and collided with another car, Prince William County County Police said.

Kermit Adam Gueiss, 88, was pronounced dead shortly after the crash near Golansky Boulevard and Post Office Road on Thursday at 1:45 p.m.

Gueiss was driving a 2002 Toyota Camry when he passed by the stop sign and collided with a 2007 Chevy Silverado, said police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok.

A 47-year-old female passenger inside the Camry and the 21-year-old male driver of the Silverado sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Everyone was wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

Perok said speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
