Alexandria Man Charged With Assault and Battery on an Officer
Police said that during a search, he pushed an officer out of the way.
An Alexandria man faces charges after a confrontation with the police during a search, Prince William County Police said.
Gregory Graham, 43, of Pantano Place, is charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer.
A Prince William County officer conducted a search on Graham at 3 a.m. Tuesday at the Garfield Station in Woodbridge after an arrest.

"During the search, the accused became agitated and refused to listen to officers," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said, in a press release. "At one point, the accused grabbed one of the officers and attempted to push him out of the way. Officers were able to detain the accused after a brief struggle."
The officer did not report any injuries.
