An 18-year-old man wanted in connection with a shooting turned himself in to police Tuesday, according to Prince William County Police.

At 1:06 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to the 3600 block of Stewart Lane in Dumfries to investigate a shooting.

The victim, 17, of Tappahannock, told police he was confronted by a group of men at his home. During the encounter, one of the men shot the victim in the leg, according to police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok.

"This incident escalated following an ongoing dispute between two groups," Perok said in a statement.

Bamba is being held without bond.
