Fire ruled accidental.

An attic fire at 1702 Maurice Drive displaced Woodbridge residents Sunday afternoon.

OWL VFD Battalion Chief 506, Engine 514 and Tower 512 arrived on scene Sunday to find smoke on the side of the home. According to OWL VFD, "Engine 514's crew quickly advanced an attack line into the house and located the fire in the attic.  Tower 512’s crew checked for extension in the ceiling."

The fire was brought under control in 15 minutes and was deemed accidental by the Fire Marshal although there were no working smoke detectors in the home. Damage to the home is estimated to be around $30,000.
