Authorities Search for Owners of Stolen Jewelry

Two Prince William County women were possibly involved in a series of burglaries in Northern Virginia, and authorities would like to help owners recover their stolen property, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said. 

Alicia Johnson, of Woodbridge, and her sister Ruby Johnson, of Dumfries, were charged in connection to burglaries in Prince William County. When Loudoun authorities apprehended the two in Leesburg Nov. 19, they had a large amount of jewelry in their possesion. The Johnsons are now being held at the Adult Detention Center in Prince William. 

"Some of the pieces are believed to have been stolen during burglaries and/or larcenies from vehicles in our area. The thefts are believed to have occurred in the area of the Estates at Shenstone Farm and the surrounding area in Leesburg, The two were possibly driving a 1997 Silver Acura at the time of the thefts," a press release from the Sheriff's Office states.

Prince William County Police recently posted on their Facebook page that detectives from their department, as well as Fauquier and Stafford are investigating. Prince William residents who believe that any of the items belong to them may call the county police's non-emergency line at 703-792-6500 to file a report.
