Basement Fire on Berkley Lane Displaces Two Residents

Firefighters arrived to find fire had extended to the first floor and through the roof, according to Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue.

A Sunday afternoon fire has displaced two residents in Woodbridge, according to the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue.

At 5 p.m. Sunday, firefighters arrived at the home in the 3200 block of Berkley Lane in Woodbridge.

The fire that had started in the basement had extended to the first floor and through the roof. Firefighters extinguished the blaze.

The two residents were not home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. The family did not require Red Cross assistance. 

The fire is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
