Bicyclist Killed in Collision in Front of Hylton High School

The name of the adult male has not been released, according to Prince William County Police.

A bicyclist died at the scene after a collision with a vehicle in front of Hylton High School on Friday afternoon, Prince William County Police said. 

"The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2008 Ford Mustang was traveling northbound on Spriggs Rd when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a bicyclist on the sidewalk in front of Hylton High School," according to a statement by police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok. "The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene."

The name of the male victim, 66, has not been released. The driver was identified as a 17-year-old female from Manassas. 

Police said that the crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Spriggs Road. 

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, according to Perok.
