Bicyclist Identified in Fatal Crash by Hylton High

No charges have been placed against the 17-year-old driver, who went off the roadway and struck the bicyclist, Prince William County Police said.

Police have identified the man who died in a fatal crash in front of Hylton High School Friday afternoon. 

Joseph James Callahan Jr., 66, of Woodbridge died at the scene. No charges have been placed against the 17-year-old female driver, who struck Callahan as she was traveling northbound on Spriggs Road. The 2008 Ford Mustang left the roadway and struck Callahan on the sidewalk, police said. 

The driver, a Manassas resident, remained at the scene. Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
