A burglar assaulted a Dale City homeowner after she found him in her home July 3, Prince William County Police said.
The homeowner did not report the assault until eight days later. She told police that she found the unknown man in her home on the 13900 block of Hedgewood Drive, when he assaulted her and fled. The victim reported minor injuries, but did not report any property missing.
The suspect is described as a white male, 40-45 years old, about 6 feet tall, bald and wearing blue jeans at the time of the attack.
