Burglaries: Forced Entry at Country Club Pool

Some of the latest burglaries reported in the Woodbridge area.

Prince William County Police responded to the following recent reports of burglaries in the Woodbridge and Dumfries area. 

Aug. 11, 11:23 a.m.: A staff member at the Montclair Country Club Pool on Edgewood Drive in Dumfries reported to police that a burglary occurred between 12:30 p.m. Aug. 10 and 11:23 a.m. Aug. 11. Police believe entry was made through the front door, which had been forced opened. No property was reported missing.

Aug. 11,  at 2:27 a.m.: A homeowner on the 1800 block of Cedar Cove Way in Woodbridge reported that a burglary occurred between 12:30 a.m. and 2:08 a.m. Police believe entry was made through a window, which had been forced open. A laptop, jewelry, shoes, and other property, total value around $5,500, were reported missing.

Aug. 11, 1 a.m.: A homeowner on the 1300 block of E. Longview Drive told police that a burglary occurred between 12:30 a.m. and 1 a.m. Police believe that the burglar likely entered through an unsecured back door, as there were no signs of forced entry. The homeowner reported that a purse, valued around $60, and an undisclosed amount of cash were missing.

Aug 10, 3 p.m.: A homeowner on the 14300 block of North Park Court in Woodbridge reported that someone tried to enter the home through a side door between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing.

Aug. 9, 8:20 a.m.: The property manager at the Lake Ridge Executive Park, on Lake Ridge Drive in Woodbridge, told police that someone tried to break in the complex through a window that was broken out between 5 p.m. Aug. 7 and 6:45 a.m. Aug. 8. No one entered the complex and no property was reported missing, police said.
