Burglars Target Guns, Medicine and a Laptop in Woodbridge

Prince William County Police responded to three burglaries Thursday, Feb. 7, in the Woodbridge area, according to a release.

In each case, a window was forced open or broken to gain entry, but the burglars took different items.

A resident in the 12200 block of Princeton Street contacted police to report that a front window had been forced open sometime between Jan. 26 and when the homeowner arrived at 10:20 a.m. Thursday. Various medications were reported missing, according to police.

Just before noon on Thursday, officers responded to the 12800 block of Frontier Lane for another burglary call. The homeowner had been gone for less than two hours, but reported that someone had forced open a rear window. A laptop computer, valued around $2,000, was reported missing, according to police.

At mid-afternoon, a resident in the 12900 block of Freestone Court called for another burglary. The homeowner had been away for most of the day and came home to fin a back window had been broken out. Jewelry, four handguns and an unknown amount of cash was reported missing, according to police. The items were valued at $3,400.
