Burke Woman Charged with Assault & Battery on Law Enforcement Officer

Prince William County Police charged a Burke woman with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer Friday while she was being processed at the Garfield station in Woodbridge.
Police reports said that Endeela Khaliq, 44, was being processed for a marijuana charge when she became "irate with the officer and refused to follow commands."
"At one point, the accused swung at the officer, grazing him in the face," police reports said. "Other officers were able to assist in controlling the accused. No injuries were reported."

Khaliq's court date was unavailable and she is currently being held without bond, according to police.
